Stork Support

The ER and Joanne Buczkowski reaches out to single moms and moms in need.
Originally formed to help women before, during, and after their babies are born, Stork Support is expanding to help provide clothing and physical necessities for people in need of all ages. Stork Support is now an outreach of Eagle Rock Christian Center.

Stork Support Report
November – February 2012
At Christmas 8 Gift Bags were delivered to needy families
In these months we had 24 clients, distributed 23 diapers,
gave away 34 Furniture items and 10 Bags of used clothes,
and also distributed 8 New Mom Gift Packs (containing new items for babies: 3 t-shirts, 1-sleeper, 1-outfit, socks or booties, lotion, shampoo, toy, blanket, bibs, diapers, and wipes).
Eagle Rock Center Needs:
All size clothing (children through adult)

Stork Support Needs:
Diapers, Baby wipes, T-shirts, sleepers
Shampoo, lotion, bottles, toys, candy, food,
and
Items for New Mom Packs, (new items for babies: t-shirts, sleepers, outfit, socks/booties, lotion, shampoo, toy, blanket, bibs, diapers) 
Office Needs:
Copy paper, brown bags
Stamps, hangers
Clothes racks, cleaning supplies
Toilet paper, paper towels
Vacuum cleaners, light bulbs

AALC/Stork Support is a non-profit organization that was birthed by a small group of praying women in a kitchen 22 years ago. We began by providing support to women who may need assistance while facing an unplanned pregnancy and are now expanding to help provide for the physical needs of people of all ages. Stork Support has been serving young mothers and their families since 1989. We promote and foster alternatives to abortion through referrals to licensed adoption agencies, referrals to medical providers, and other groups that provide counseling to expectant mothers. Some of our services include:

Referral services to health care providers
Special labor support providers
Speakers available!

Our staff of volunteers are prepared to speak to your youth group, parent/teachers club, school, or church about the center and how you can be involved. We welcome volunteers. While there are no fees for these services, donations of gently used baby clothing and baby furniture as well as finances are accepted and appreciated. Donations of gently used clothing, furniture, and other household items are now being accepted. All donations are tax deductible.

We operate by faith and use Christian principles.

Prayers for Parents!
We are offering a service to help you through your pregnancy, delivery, birth and becoming new parents. You are not alone we have people that will pray for you and help you through this time in your life. If you feel overwhelmed or just want someone to share your concerns with, we are here for you. Missions Outreaches!
Stork Support with Eagle Rock Christian Center brings items to give to those in need on outreaches to the Indian Reservation, Kentucky, Haiti, and other locations

Outreaches that Stork Support has participated in with Eagle Rock:

March 2010 and October 2010, Haiti trips

2011 Alabama team for tornado relief

June 3-9, 2011 we returned to Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota.
June 3-9th was a wonderful time. We got to see lots of old friends. We had give aways of clothing, meals, and lots of fun with the moms and children.

"Operation Blessing"

Ways you can bless us and our mission for 2012:
  • Pray for God to move through us to help those in need.
  • Hold a "Baby Shower" at your club, school, church, to collect supplies for the mothers and their families.
  • Have a "Diaper Drive" gathering all size diapers for our mission.
  • Send a gift in honor of someone's birthday, anniversary, or life
  • Invite us to your next meeting or event to speak about our missions outreaches.
  • Call the office about our "Change for Life" Baby Bottle fundraiser.
  • Purchase gently used baby through adult clothes, furniture, household goods or toys this summer at local garage sales or ask for their leftovers as donations. (You may contact Eagle Rock Christian Center to pick up donations.)
  • Have a garage sale fundraiser specifically for the center and donate proceeds or a portion.
  • Shop and drop off much needed items for missions. (A list of items needed is below.)
  • Get the word out to others of a place to give their gently used clothing.
  • Send a financial gift to Eagle Rock Christian Center. (Tax deductible receipts sent monthly from Eagle Rock.)
  • Collect office needs such as brown grocery bags, copy paper, stamps, and white garbage bags.
